Top 5 HR Metrics and their underlying Drivers – Interesting Paper

Visier put out an interesting paper that will take you about 10 minutes to read, but it is intriquing. They take the top 5 normal metrics (e.g. Turnover, Performance, etc.) and point out that often those numbers are interesting but not important nor actionable. They give examples of some underlying drivers (and resulting metrics) that you should consider building into your portfolio. Here is an example – Instead of measuring Turnover – what about:

1. Resignation Rate

2. Resignation Rate of Top Performers

3. Promotion Rate and Promotion Wait Time

4. Engagement Index

5. Market Compensation Ratio

You have to register to get the paper – but I encourage you to look at it: http://info.visier.com/white-paper-from-hr-metrics-to-workforce-analytics
