HR being the internal advocate of Financials?

HR Executive Online did a really interesting article talking about how corporations engage their employees by getting close to the financials. More specifically, there are two great examples of how 1-800 GOT JUNK and ExpressScripts/Medco have been communicating their financials. 
I encourage you to take a look at the article – as it brings a different light to engagement. When would have HR ever thought that higher engagement would occur by teaching folks about what EBITDA is and/or what the company’s current debt ratio is.
